Trails, Land, and Water Protection in Schuylkill Highlands Focus of Wolf Administration Visit to Southeast

Pottstown, PA - Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Secretary Cindy Adams Dunn today addressed land and water protection, and community revitalization, at the annual partnership meeting of the Schuylkill Highlands Conservation Landscape in Pottstown.

"The Schuylkill Highlands Conservation Landscape Partnership is a place-based strategy for natural resource stewardship and local support for land conservation, locally-driven planning, and community revitalization efforts," Dunn said.

Accomplishments for the partnership for 2017 include:

The Schuylkill Highlands landscape includes the largest unbroken forest between Washington, D.C. and New York City, and many of the Pennsylvania's most populated counties. It includes Berks, Bucks, Chester, Lebanon, Lancaster and Montgomery counties.

There are seven landscapes total across Pennsylvania included in the Conservation Landscape initiative.
