House Democratic Policy
Committee to hold public hearing on the
Clean Indoor Air Act Thursday in
Pittsburgh
PITTSBURGH,
July 23 – House Democratic
Policy Chairman Mike Sturla, D-Lancaster, announced that the committee will
hold a public hearing examining the impacts of the Clean Indoor Air Act from 10
a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Thursday, July 26, at the University of Pittsburgh’s O’Hara
Student Center Dining Room, 4024 O’Hara St., Pittsburgh.
State Rep.
Dan Frankel, D-Allegheny, requested the hearing and will serve as co-chair.
Frankel plans to introduce legislation to amend the Clean Indoor Air Act to
eliminate the language that prohibits local governments from enacting and
enforcing their own stronger smoking bans.
